Matt plays a wide range of material from artists from the 60's
through today, focusing on music from many of your favorite
acoustic artists.
In addition, Matt plays a number of inventive, soulful
original songs, many of which have become local favorites.
James Taylor has been a big influence on Matt, and accordingly many
JT classics form a part of Matt's repertoire. Songs such as "Something
in the Way She Moves", "Fire and Rain", and "Carolina in My Mind" are
regularly featured, along with less well-known Taylor material, such
as "Captain Jim's Drunken Dream".
Matt also plays a selection of Grateful Dead material from their
acoustic period of the early 70's. "Uncle John's Band" and "Cassidy"
regularly show up in Matt's live shows.
His set's also feature newer material by artists such as
David Gray, the Counting Crows, and the Wallflowers.
If you have a special request for a favorite song, or a song
with special meaning, let Matt know!
